For instance, polypropylene and nylon are the leading carpet fibres for stain-proofing. Taking advantage of nylon's durability and versatility, some carpet manufacturers go an extra step during the production process by adding a chemical coating that makes it difficult for stains to penetrate the carpet fibers.
